Abstract

There is a general agreement among military behavioural scientists that operational stress affects higher mental functions more than the simpler levels of perceptual motor behaviour. A number of piloting as well as norpiloting jobs are vulnerable to this source of performance impairment. In general, few laboratories are studying behaviour at this more complex level.
