Abstract

During the winters of 1972/73 and 1973/74, the University of Saskatchewan Vehicle Accident Study Team conducted a study of snowmobile accidents. Findings from 220 accidents are drawn upon and specific cases are used to illustrate typical mechanisms of injury production. Emphasis is placed on the injury producing effect of the driver and machine configuration prior to and during the accident.
