Abstract

On November 9, 1988, an intercity bus with 45 occupants traveling through a construction zone suddenly went out of control during a steering maneuver, rotated 100 degrees, and overturned. Witness reports indicate that the bus was traveling at a high rate of speed in condition of heavy rain. The unrestrained driver and 38 passengers were injured, from which 12 serious.
