Abstract
An accident by which 5 cars were involved and by which 4 persons were killed and 10 persons were injured, is investigated. The probable cause of the accident was the loss of vehicle control by one driver, which resulted from driver intoxication, excessive speed, and sharp steering manoeuvres while passing another vehicle. Contributing to the severity was the failure of the median barriers.
