Abstract

TRB's Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board (TRR Journal) 1851 addresses geometric design; hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality; roadside safety features; landscape and environment; and utilities. Papers in this TRR Journal examine the effects of load distribution, cargo type, and road design characteristics on heavy truck dynamic rollover; the design and testing of tie-down systems for temporary barriers; the development of an energy-absorbing composite utility pole; and more. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2003.
