Abstract
Among the topics covered at the conference are: assessment of the effectiveness of highway safety programs over the last 20 years, comparison of highway safety programs to other national health and safety programs; examination of the political process and issues in allocating public funds to safety related and non- safety related programs; the use of benefit to cost procedures in allocating public funds; and present plans to advance highway safety to the year 2000.
