Abstract

With an awareness of the importance of design in safe highway operations, k the engineer can make a major contribution toward mitigating the accident problem. This is especially true of single vehicle accidents. This paper not only shows how designers have already provided and can provide a safe environment in the future, but also examines highway features and their relation to roadway hazards.
