Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2213 contains 13 papers that explore sustainable safety, road safety policies, safety impacts of traffic management operations, managing safety in traffic analysis zones, and reducing crash fatalities on rural roadways. This issue of the TRR also examines road safety audits of low-volume roads, safety improvement through speed management, mitigating real-time hazards on urban expressways, traffic safety training for local agency technical staff and elected and appointed officials, passenger drop-off capacity, school travel mode choice, and active travel intervention with small populations.
