Abstract

The case reported in this study of a frontal interhemispheric haemorrhage following whiplash injury without visible external injury and, at first, without any neurological symptoms, shows the importance of medical examination after an accident. The responsibility of the medical expert who has to examine if it is only a whiplash injury of the cervical spine or a possible concomitant intercranial lesion is discussed.
