Abstract

The United States, and Southern California in particular, has experienced tremendous growth in the Hispanic population during the past 10 years. Commuter Transportation Services conducted research to explore attitudes and perceptions of Hispanics versus the general population regarding awareness of the ride-share message. This study examines both primary (1991 State of the Commute Study and focus groups) and secondary research in order to develop strategies tailored to reach the Hispanic market with the rideshare message.
