Abstract

The collision Deformation Classification, CDC, is an abbreviated means of communication or describing vehicle collision damage, useful to persons collecting and interpreting vehicle collision data. This paper explains the history and philosophy, leading to the current revisions in the S.A.E. Recommended Practice.
