Abstract
In 2007 the Gelderland Road Safety Programme 2007-2010 was published. The Regional Road Traffic Safety Authority Gelderland (ROVG) asked SWOV to investigate these road safety plans for possibilities to integrate the Sustainable Safety themes from the advanced vision as published in 2005: Advancing Sustainable Safety. The ROVG request specifically focussed on the five themes that were indicated in Advancing Sustainable Safety for formal traffic education, but also covered a wider field. Furthermore, the ROVG wanted to see the possibilities for other interesting experimental projects that could be carried out in the Province of Gelderland.
