Abstract

The design of this Stated Preference study is based on the respondents' data collected in a written questionnaire survey. This survey formed the second part of the `influence of main infrastructure on households' residence selection patterns' study. In the Stated Preference study the quantitative relationship between the existing main infrastructure and the households' residence selection patterns is investigated. The Stated Preference study was carried out among 256 respondents who already participated in the written questionnaire survey. The data on 221 persons was suitable for analysis. The following choice variables were studied in great detail: (1) distance to work; (2) distance to station/motorway; (3) chance of delay; (4) the dwelling type; (5) the residential environment; and (6) the net monthly costs.
