Abstract

The wood gas generator as used in World War II as an alternative for oil and gas has got new interest. In developing countries which can hardly afford anymore the increasing oil prices, the wood gas generator or the refuse gas generator are possible alternatives in the future. Some possibilities of the wood gas generator are presented. research done at TNO into the development of this alternative form of energy-generating is described.
