How Detroit handles emergencies.

Abstract

The author describes the new emergency medical services division in detroit which consists mainly of 134 ex-service men who have an extensive medical training and use sophisticated equipment. Part of the equipment is the ambulance with a modular body which is manned by a three man crew. Costs of ambulances and equipment are quoted.
