How to provide a cycle network of good quality, when minimizing costs.

Abstract

The transportation and traffic engineering division of the Ministry of Transport has taken care of research, concerning various bicycle projects in recent years. One of the projects is the evaluation of the Delft bicycle network. One of the questions asked for in the evaluation has been if it was possible to create a good cycle network whilst minimizing costs. The answer is positive. One the hand of some practical examples is shown what the possibilities are.
