Abstract

This is the final report of the ADONIS research project. The study was carried out at a European level by a Consortium of researchers. The project started on 1 May 1886 and ran untul end of 1997. The report gives recommendations and guidelines for urban decision makers and road authorities concerning incentives to substitute short car trips in big cities by walking and cycling. (A)
