Abstract

People do not wear seat belts for a variety of reasons: fear that the seat belt will trap them in their cars; the belief that good drivers don't need them. Some people feel that they are just too much trouble. This booklet provides information to help you decide, on the basis of the available scientific evidence, whether or not seat belts are worth the trouble it takes to use them.
