Abstract

This report examines the problems of human error in merchant marine safety. The study employs a literature review, a data base evaluation, job descriptions, casualty flow diagrams, and an in-depth survey in its overall analysis. The recommendations are aimed at developing countermeasures against human acts of commission or omission that lead to merchant marine casualties.
