Abstract
This book is based on contributions to a meeting of the Europe Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society held in Dortmund, Germany in 2002. Topics covered include user experience of head mounted displays; habituation to virtual simulation sickness; visual performance at a three-dimensional display; spatial learning in virtual environments; validity of virtual reality driving simulators for ergonomic assessment; older drivers and virtual reality assessments; simulators and driver training; eye tracking; driver fatigue; train evacuation; assistance for car drivers; and drivers' appreciation of built-up areas.
