Abstract

This report presents a brief overview of the research performed within the last seven years. The research has dealt with the following topics: vehicle headlighting, vehicle rear lighting and signaling, legibility of traffic signs and license plates, driving-test development, stopping sight distance, drivers with disabilities, elderly drivers, driver seated position, vehicle displays and controls, windshield damage and safety, conspicuity of vehicles, epidemiology of accidents, and theoretical issues.
