Abstract

The major behavioural skills required in driving based on an analysis of the drivers task are specified. This paper attempt to provide some markers in two distinct paths, in the direction of improving safe driving by indicating the skills that need training in driving, and by emphasising the importance of introducing into our educational systems some more basic understanding of the sociotechnical systems.
