Abstract

Definitions of the term human factors, its areas of concern, the nature of its techniques and how it relates to the medical biomechanical and physiological aspects of automotive safety are provided. Its limitations and boundaries are described with specific emphasis being given to the requirement for interaction and exchange between human factors and the medical profession in the furtherance of automotive safety.
