Abstract

This paper describes an evaluation of a Radio Data System Traffic Message Channel (RDS-TMC) receiver, carried out by the DRIVE II HARDIE project (V2008). An empirical road based user trial was conducted using simulated RDS-TMC messages presented using the INDIKTA display and auditory outputs; an ATT system being developed within two DRIVE II projects. The trial compared the presentation of information by auditory only and by both auditory and visual provision. (A)
