Abstract

Although an informational analysis of the signals provided to dispatchers is an approximate tool, when combined with experimental studies of the engineering psychological evaluation of information display systems and special emergency training for dispatchers, it provides a significant improvement in operational control. This conclusion has been verified. Experiments have shown that engineering-psychology studies are an important part of the measures taken to increase both the efficiency and safety of systems.
