Abstract

A set of instructional notes for the use of the methodology of human factors as applied in the design of truck cabs is given. The need for constructing markups and for experiments using typical users as test subjects is emphasized. Seeing is treated as the first step in the decision-making process. Simulation and simulators are treated as an essential parts of experimental aspects of human factors design.
