Abstract

The transfer of public transportation systems from private to public ownership brought about some fundamental changes in that industry. The most important change is that the basis goal of these agencies changed from predominantly financial to service-oriented. In this study, an interdisciplinary research team investigated the existing and projected human resource development need of the SEPTA. The recommendations of the study are discussed and analysed.
