Abstract

This paper describes a hybrid simulation method for evaluating anti-lock system hardware with electronic wheelspeed sensors mounted in a real vehicle. The method allows the testing of stability, steerability and braking efficiency. The validity of the method is demonstrated by simultations compaired with field test results obtained with a heavy truck with compressed air brakes equipped with three different anti-lock systems.
