Abstract

In 2004 there were at least thirty-five infants and children who have died in the United States from hyperthermia after being left in hot cars, trucks, vans and SUV's. Some of these even occurred on days with relatively mild (i.e., ~ 70 degrees F) temperatures. In 2003 there was a record 42 such needless tragedies. (Author/publisher)
