Abstract

Thirteen pavement marking materials representing state-of-the-art technology were evaluated during Winter 2004-2005 on a section of I-90 within the Snoqualmie Pass mountain region of Washington State. Materials were judged on the basis of retroreflectivity and durability. Although the winter was mild, significant differences were found among and within classes of materials. Performing systems will be recommended for use on future State projects.
