Abstract

This IBM code, designed for the express purpose of recording data on injuries observed in passenger automobile accidents, consists of four sub-codes: 1- accident and car damage details 2- state accident data for correlations: overflow" information from sub-code 1, 3- gross injuries and injury causes 4- specific injury details, Each of the sub-codes comprises classifications and sub classifications selected represent as many stimulus and response variables as possible. Analyses of these variables for "causes" and "effect" will be performed to provide data for engineers who are responsible for designing greater crash safety for automobile occupants.
