Abstract

Volume II reports a state-of-the-art review of possible systems or devices, such as road reconstruction and modification, traffic control devices and electronic and electromechanical driver-aid systems, which can be used as remedial aids for passing manoeuvres on two-lane rural roads. This volume also presents the conceptualisation of possible electronic and electromechanical passing-aid systems and explores the technical, legal, social, and preliminary economic feasibility of such systems.
