Abstract

A systematic method of problem locality identification in which the relative importance of localities can also be determined, is described. It consists of the following 3 steps: 1. history of accident localities and calculation of their equivalent accident numbers by assigning suitable weights to fatal and injury accidents. 2. listing of localities with high equivalent accident numbers and calculation of relative accident rates. 3: Priority determination.
