Abstract

The impact on sales, accidents and fuel consumption in Canada was estimated if (1) the minimum age limit for moped riders should be reduced (2) the mandatory insurance requirement should be lowered or eliminated and (3) the requirement to wear a safety helmet should be changed or eliminated. The results show no positive effects.
