Abstract

The purpose of the research carried out under the subject contract was an analytical investigation of various type of protective coverings of the head from the viewpoint of the mitigation of head injury. The general scheme of the procedure involved a numerical method of the analysis of the response of axi-symmetric loading of various models, using primarily a finite-element technique.
