Abstract

This study was conducted to obtain statistically valid data on a variety of highway safety issues, such as attitudes toward drunk driving, use of safety belts and child safety seats, and to establish data regarding driving patterns. The study design provided a unique opportunity to determine what, if any, relations existed between the respondents attitudes toward drunk driving and the use of occupant protection devices and how those attitudes affected their driving patterns.
