Abstract

The van as a passenger vehicle has come into its own just in the 1970's. With the increasing proportion of the van-type bodies on the highways today, many of the problems of car truck interactions intensify. The American motorist will have to recognize the effects of vans on the road and be educated to adjust to the safety hazards that they pose.
