Abstract

This paper summarises the activities and achievements of the ERTICO-led Automatic Incident Detection (AID) Task Force in the ATT Programme. On the basis of a review of existing aid systems, an analysis of user requirements, and a synthesis of results of key aid pilot experiments within the ATT Programme, guidelines for ATT implementation have been produced, addressing a number of key issues, e.g. cost-benefit aspects and integration with other systems.
