Abstract

A survey of actual and potential guideways for low speed maglev vehicles is presented, together with an assessment of the effect of the guideway flexibility upon the performance of the vehicle suspension. Performance predictions for a linear controller that will allow the vehicle suspension to operate on a flexible guideway are presented, together with some experimental results from recent tests using this controller.
