Abstract

A major research project on the Value of travel time has been completed. As well as satisfying the requirements of value of time research, the analysis has a number of implications for the study of mode choice. It emerged that values of time were strongly dependent on the mode used, with the implication that there is a considerable element of self-selectivity.
