This report presents proposed modifiations to American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) T 84 and T 85 methods to improve their accuracy, precision, ease of use, and time required for conditioning and testing. Thus, the report will be of immediate interest to engineers in state highway agencies and the construction industry with responsibility for testing aggregate materials used in asphalt and portland cement concrete mixtures for pavement construction.
