Abstract

The Transportation Safety Group of the University of Wuppertal is working on the implementation of a semi- automated database generation system for driving simulators with computer generated image visual systems. The method proposed here consists of taking photographs of the objects to be modelled for the simulation, enhancing them, extracting contours, and forming graphics by means of digital image processing.
