Abstract

A method for improving traffic flow is discussed, in which normal motorway lanes are reversed so that the slow lanes, and not the fast lanes, are nearest the median. The principle is shown applied to motorway junction layouts. Methods of improving traffic flow at junctions of city streets are also discussed.
