Abstract

An interview was held with experts on bicycle safety. Conclusions from the interviews showed that riding under the influence of alcohol, riding without a reflector or headlamps at night, failures to yield to oncoming traffic, operating the bicycle on the wrong side of the roadway and failures to obey traffic signals are the most important causes for bicycle accidents.
