Abstract

The aim of the research currently being undertaken at UMIST, for the UK's Health and Safety Executive is to evaluate the effectiveness of a behavioral approach in improving safety on construction sites. The Proportional Rating Scale (PRS) currently under development at UMIST is compared with the more traditional approach of the All Or Nothing (AON) measure for safety performance. The results are discussed.
