Abstract

Transit agencies that have transit Intelligent Transportation Systems (transit ITS) are constantly collecting data. With large amounts of data, there are great opportunities for converting data into useful information that can be used in decision making. Yet, the usage of data for more sophisticated analysis is still in its infancy. Without accurate and timely information, decisions cannot be totally fair and equitable. This research concentrates on using data from transit ITS technologies to address the needs of special population. It also presents the development of a web application to help improve the delivery of transit service for special population.
