Abstract

This report arose out of a need to improve Australia's urban transport modelling capability. It seeks to examine the failing of current transport modelling to meet demands, and to scope a range of priority topics for research and action to improve travel analysis. The report outlines the current status and uses of models, and in the light emerging expectations the report suggest the "gaps" in current procedures. The report also makes recommendations for further investigation and research. (Author/publisher)
