Abstract

Measures that can be taken to improve vehicle rear-lighting and signaling are described in broad outline. These measures relate to the visibility of a vehicle, determination of its position (and derivates), the additional indication of specific vehicle-characteristics and preferable coding methods to be applied to the design of these indications. Each of the proposed measures is briefly discussed. Some remarks relevant to the design of implementation programs, are made.
