Abstract

A brief review of the results of recent research into impulse noise and its effects is given. It sets out the important parameters and the various methods of measurement to enable anyone familiar with the measurement of steady state noise also to measure impulse noise. The physical parameters necessary to describe an impulse noise are considered and their importance discussed.
