Abstract

The main purpose of this paper was the application of the assessment practices and processes described in the manuals, standards and advice notes produced by the DTP, E.G. cost benefit analysis (COBA) and manual of environmental appraisal (MEA), at a number of recent public inquiries into major urban roads.
